N-Back Solver 1.3

Publisher Description

N-Back Solver - This game aims improving short term memory and fluid intelligence.

The n-back task is a continuous performance task that is commonly used as an assessment in cognitive neuroscience to measure a part of working memory and that has been suggested as a method for increasing fluid intelligence. The tn-back was introduced by Wayne Kirchner in 1958. The dual-task n-back task is a variation that was proposed by Susanne Jaeggi et al. in 2003. In the Dual-task paradigm, two independent sequences are presented simultaneously, typically using different modalities of stimuli.

Performance on the n-back task seems to be more closely correlated with performance on measures of fluid intelligence than it is with performance on other measures of working memory (which is also correlated with performance on measures of fluid intelligence). In the same vein, training on the n-back task appears to improve performance on subsequent fluid intelligence assessments, especially when the training is at a higher n-value.

Working memory is the system that actively holds multiple pieces of transitory information in the mind, where they can be manipulated. This involves execution of verbal and nonverbal tasks—such as reasoning and comprehension—and makes them available for further information-processing. Working memory tasks require monitoring (i.e., manipulation of information or behaviors) as part of completing goal-directed actions in the setting of interfering processes and distractions.

Fluid intelligence describes the ability to think logically and solve problems in unfamiliar situations, making it crucial for learning processes of all kind. It utilizes the brain's capability to extract information, identify patterns and find new solutions through logic. It is used in every aspect of our lives where we are presented with a problem, be it in school, at work, or in conflict situations with other people.

N-Back Challenge uses a scientifically proven concept to train and improve the fluid intelligence, allowing the user to solve problems more efficiently.

Having a better memory can help you remember names, dates, locations, and recall important information more quickly and accurately. According to a study published by the University of Michigan (USA), presented at the Association for Psychological Science (Washington), shows that playing dual N-Back 20 minutes a day of 20 days, may actually improve the working memory (short term memory) and fluid intelligence. The memory task game helps to achieve better results in IQ tests since it increases the ability to reason and develop new problems. Fluid Intelligence refers to the ability to reason and to solve new problems independently of previously acquire knowledge.

This game aims improving short term memory and fluid intelligence by exercising your brain on sets of working-memory training exercises. This program is a kind of dual N-Back task. Dual N-Back game, can measurably increase your fluid intelligence (what you use for problem-solving, learning and pattern recognition). We show a number of different characters and their position - you need to specify whether the character met or position a few steps back. For the answer, pull the slider to the right or to the left. The game starts when you click the slider and ends when the setting up of the size of the sequence, or when the button was released slider. Thereafter, a transition occurs in the results window. In the settings you can adjust the size of the sequence, the state of the show, the repetition rate and the sensitivity of the button states sliding (ie, how much we have to move the slider button for the answer).
